Are you looking for beautiful views in Rio? The cable car tour at Sugar Loaf Mountain (Pao de Acucar) in Rio de Janeiro ascends a 390-foot granite mountain and offers superb views of the city

Rio de Janeiro is an electric city, full of life and adventure. A city where there is always something to do. The views over Rio de Janeiro are indescribable, and one of the biggest attractions that bring tourists to the city. While most visitors to Rio are aware of the views over the city from the Christ the Redeemer statue, many are unaware of the attraction that offers the best views of all. Sugar Loaf Mountain is a peak that sticks out of the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of Guanabara Bay. The mountain rises 1,299 feet above Rio's harbour, and the ride via cable car to it's peak provides a 360 degree panoramic view of the city, and the surrounding mountains and water.

The ride to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain begins at the base of Bailonia Hill. Here you can climb into one of the glass walled cable cars that will take you to the top of Morro da Urca hill before gliding through the air to Sugar Loaf's peak. The journey along the way is truly spectacular, and you will have privileged views of the most popular attractions in Rio de Janeiro. White sand beaches, The Christ the Redeemer Statue, Downtown Rio and the Corcovodo Mountain range are all visible from your birds eye view.

Departures leave every 20 minutes from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and children under 6 ride free of charge. There are also elevators and restrooms for visitors with special needs as well as a 50% discount for visitors with disabilities.
